Prescription Admin

Please note the practice does not take requests for repeat prescriptions over the phone. You can request your prescriptions in the following ways:

  • Register for online services with one of our Patient Care Advisers. You will need to complete an online services form (available from reception) and provide ID.
  • Email our admin team with your request to: beeston-village.99@nhs.net
  • Request your medication from your nominated pharmacy
  • Drop off your prescription request in our post box in reception

Please allow 48 hours from when the request is received at the surgery.

Minor Surgery

Monthly minor surgery clinics are held at the surgery for certain minor surgery procedures. These have to be booked by the doctor. Joint injections are also carried out. These need to be booked by the doctor.

New Patient Health Checks

These are offered to all newly registered patients aged over 16 and usually carried out by one of our Healthcare Assistants who will ask you some questions about your lifestyle and family history, measure your height and weight, and take your blood pressure

Holiday Advice and Vaccinations

Our nursing team are able to provide holiday advice and certain holiday vaccinations.

NHS Health Checks

NHS Health Checks are available to all patients aged between 40 and 74 years of age and do not already have heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease or high blood pressure.

Family Planning

The surgery provides a full confidential contraceptive service including coils and implants.

Long Term Conditions

The surgery provide 6 monthly or annual monitoring and review of long term conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, COPD, Asthma

Child Immunisations

Baby and children immunisation given at the surgery by our nursing team.

Cervical Smears

We recommend a smear every 3 years for all our female patients up to age 50 and every 5 years up to age 65.

Cervical screening is one of the best ways to protect yourself from cervical cancer.

Cervical screening checks the health of your cervix. It’s not a test for cancer, it’s a test to help prevent cancer.
